Correction:
Rafael Nadal’s career wins are 183 and his career titles are 17.
I apologize for my mistake there.
That’s why I love Daniil, look at the growth from him. From being a midcarder to being a world-class player in 3 years, amazing.
Djokovic was actually 20 when he won this first Slam but that was in early 2008. Fed was surprisingly doing almost nothing at the age of 20.
I think Roger was also breaking in the ”new era” of tennis. Power players, serve and volleyers, clay court grinders. He was all of this mixed together, maybe that’s one reason for only one title by 20. Turned out he did it better than anyone, until that serbian dude outlasted them all
This will be a good table to update and plot over the next 10 years.
Fedal stats will go through the roof, Djokovic will then awaken a few years later and start chasing up after them.
We know Meddy gets left in the dust, but will Sinner and Alcaraz be able to keep up?
Very insightful! Alcaraz has had a crazy start to his career; I think this is a graph that nicely shows that the buzz around him is deserved. Also shows some people that they need to calm down with the “weak era” nonsense. The fact that Alcaraz has achieved this at 20 (and Sinner as well!) Despite Djokovic being in God mode and Rafa playing at an extremely high level for good chunks of the last two years is testament to the fact that these guys are very exciting prospects.
Nice. Put Rune in there, too. His numbers by this age are more impressive than Meddy, Sinner, and Federer
Looking at this Federer and now Alcaraz has it easier, Novak and Nadal had it way harder in the beginning of their careers, specially Novak
P.S.: It is essential to recognize and applaud the remarkable achievements of tennis players across generations and their influence on the sport’s growth, despite the complexities of comparing players from different eras.☺️
