Think I have to move on from this team for my mental state and well being. I have been a Jets fan since my first game at Shea Stadium. I have so many great memories of the Sack exchange, Wesley Walker, Freeman McNeil, Darrellle Revis and so many others, but the pain of being a Jets fan is getting worse every year. I feel like the entire league is advancing in some way and we are going backwards. Zach is garbage, our O line is in shambles, penalty after penalty and turnover after turnover. I love Saleh’s energy and his speeches but hey gets out coached every game. Hackett can’t make any adjustments, and JD has failed at building”building a wall”. I don’t see Rodgers making any difference. If he does come back and we miraculously start playing great football I am going to think this game is staged.
The worst part of this is my kids LOVE football and on Sunday always feel bad for me and this is coming from a Falcons fan and a Giants fan!! Every year I get hyped up during this off season bullshit. Well I went out the other day and came home with 49ers hat. Montana was my all time favorite player and I want them to win another SB. Well just me ranting among the 1300 other Jets fan rants. Sorry guys but I have to step away from this team for now. Killing my love for the game.
Yeah man I feel you, I’m close to just forgetting about this season and watching basketball and hockey
Well here is the question in regards to the draft next year. If we are looking for a successor, who will it be? Caleb will be gone before we are on the board, I am not sold on Maye and Penix might be gone as well. Not sure who else is in that draft class, I only know the ones everyone keeps talking about.
It’s also ok to step away and come back when (if) they ever do better. Anyone who calls it “fair weather fan” can fuck right off. People have stuck by this team for DECADES of losing. It’s the Jets’ fault if fans are disconnecting from the team. Don’t blame the fans. There’s no point is being a die-hard fan of a team that shows so little interest in being a winning organization.
