We’ve obviously made a huge turnaround since the Dolphins game, and VJ deserves a lot of credit for it, and for our win streak.

But I still don’t really know what to think about the defense as a whole. They’ve been great at turning offenses over, both by forcing turnovers and also getting some luck (e.g. Simmons’s interception last week that slipped through Gabe Davis’s hands), but have struggled to actually stop offenses without the turnovers. The Vikings were walking us down the field on both their TD drives yesterday, but the defense still saved the game with the turnovers. Add on the absolutely abysmal tackling, and we still definitely have some things to work on.

The best QBs we still have to face are Stroud, Goff, and Herbert x2 so it’ll be interesting to see if we can force punts or FGs even if the turnovers slow down

It’s not confusing, we are struggling in the trenches. We need another piece inside.

I’m more worried about Ford/Hunt, Singletary, Montgomery/Gibbs, and Ekeler than I am the QBs. The run fits are still atrocious and because the run D is so bad it opens up too many passing lanes because defenders have to step up. To me it looks like there’s more aggression in flying to the ball which explains the uptick in turnovers. Still missing tackles but flying to the ball means more guys around to cover up the mistakes.
