Last year’s finals was an anomaly. We’ll literally get a few more one-sided grandfinals before that DRX esque run happens again. It is hard for me to be optimistic when I know that two best teams will usually meet in quarters or semis 90% of the time.

I know that Riot wants Worlds to be about showcasing the best team using the least amount of games as possible. But I think that Worlds is the most significant time of the year. At MSI, BLG’s run so special for me. Just seeing them clap back at all labels and noise of them being frauds. They ended up playing 2 bo3s and 6 bo5s in 3 weeks!!

At Worlds, seeing the two tournament favorites went on 3-0 in Swiss but one team literally went home after playing two 1 bo3 and 1 bo5. Not counting the bo1s, we only get two series?? After watching Worlds, it’s like eating a nice meal but never being close to full and still being hungry after.
