So I’ve done this for the past couple of weeks and it’s worked out pretty well. As always, this post is meant to give a brief rundown of what’s happening around the league based on yesterday’s games like who’s playing well, who’s playing poorly, injury updates, etc.
Here are a few of mine:
Zach Wilson is ass and the jets are unredeemable even if Rodgers comes back in a month
Jaylen Warren is better than Najee Harris
Justin Fields isn’t the problem in chicago
Bengals season is basically over, they should tank for a premier lineman
I always had a feeling quentin johnston was a bust but this week solidified it
Jalen Ramsey is HIM and I expect the dolphins D to get a lot better in coming weeks
CJ Stroud had a bad game, but that still doesn’t mean he’s out of mvp talks. In Aaron Rodgers’ 2014 MVP season, he had 2 separate games where he shit the bed and threw multiple picks.
What have you learned from week 11?
Maybe it’s just me but this is a strange transition for me being a Packers fan. It’s weird seeing Vikings and Lions fans slowly start to hate each other when I felt like they would team up and shit-talk us. Us winning isn’t that big of a deal anymore except for us Packer fans. But the other thing is nobody really cares if we lose anymore either. Sure there are probably a few memes and jokes but nothing like what it used to be. We are just a team in the NFL that exists now.
The best way I can describe it is we use to be young and fit and got all this attention. Now we are middle aged and out shape and just blend into the background.
I know I know so many teams are gonna be like “now you know what it feels like.” Yes! We finally get to feel a fraction of what you felt for decades. But it’s still a new feeling. At least for me.
Fuck we are only halfway done with this season. Who knows what happens next year?
But right now this feeling is different.
Lions at their worst still aren’t the worst team in the division
My Texans take
- CJ Stroud’s first half was fucking ridiculous. I understand it’s overshadowed by his awful second half but still. The fact that even in his worst game all year he puts up a half like that is crazy promising
- Running game emerging gives me hope that maybe this success can be more sustainable through the rest of the year
- Demeco Ryans actually has pretty fuckin solid game/clock management which is something we haven’t seen in Houston in a long time.
- On defense Pitre is not the player we hoped he would be right now. He’s had a terrible stretch of games and is missing so many opportunities for big plays
- Christian Harris is balling out recently after a rough rookie year and a rough start to this year
- This pass rush is playing really well. I believe we are now 8th in sacks over the last 5 games
- Defense as a whole still feels a little suspect. It’s very bend but don’t break and I don’t really know if that can hold up over the final stretch this year or in the playoffs
The AFC South is going to get 2 playoff teams
