If we’re talking realistic I’ll take a playoff berth and a graceful loss in the wild card. Maybe if Santa is feeling super generous and we get matched up with the Jags or Dolphins we can get a win but I don’t wanna go too far

Dell lines up outside 70% of the time according to PFF
Yeah “not there” was maybe not the right term to use. I should have said not performed up to his draft price as a pass rusher.
He’s currently 57th in pressure percentage (percent of pass rush snaps where he records a pressure) and is 4th among rookies in that regard. He’s 25th in pass rush win rate which is 2nd among rookies and has 39 total pressures which is 25th in the league and 1st among rookies.
He’s been fine as a pass rusher but I was hoping for more than fine given the price we paid for him
Think it’s gotta be Cashman, frankly not many impressive individual seasons on defense yet. Maybe Greenard.
Will Anderson is a great run defender, not there as a pass rusher.
Stingley is playing pretty well but I don’t think it’s been much special yet.
Nelson started off hot but has struggled recently.
Harris started off slow and only recently started playing better
Pitre has been struggling hard over the past month
I have no idea about scheme fit but Jaylon Johnson and Sneed are two players on free agency who I would love to bring on board
Saw some Jags fans saying that and it isn’t true although it’s certainly a closer call than the number the refs said.
There’s some contact within the allowed 5 yard limit and then he lays off. The Jags WR ducks under Thomas’ arm to run his whip route which makes it look like holding. Not as bad of a call as it looked initially but still wrong
I don’t think they tagged him ever. I think they just signed him to a 1 year deal at the start of the season and they’ll worry about it this offseason
Our chances of making the playoffs changed pretty drastically with the loss. The scenario is laid out pretty well in other threads… Jags have to lose like 3 of their remaining and we half to nearly win out. Something like that.
That’s for the division race which yeah we’re pretty much out of now. For the wildcard we are very much in the race.
I’d have to imagine the Chiefs will tag him and try and trade him if they don’t want to pay. Are we willing to give up what that would cost? I’m not sure that’s a tough one
It’s definitely been a very inconsistent group rushing the passer. Will Anderson has had a few performances that give hope for the future but as of right now he is not a consistently impactful pass rusher.
Priority this offseason should be finding a consistently disruptive interior defender and hoping WAJ can take the next step as a pass rusher
Shoutout stingley getting beat by their #3 WR
DeMeco was definitely my second choice but it was close between him and Steichen. He’s done such an excellent job this season with the organization as a whole and the defense.
My only concern is what happens when Slowik gets hired away but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there
Like someone else said there’s just no chance.
Just looking at the issues on our end you really cripple your ability to build this defense. I agree we need to find a #1 WR but this defense to me seems to be what will hold us back. DeMeco has done a decent job working with some of the talent issues on defense but I don’t think this bend but don’t break will continue to hold up as well as it has for parts of the year.
I think you overestimate what you can do in free agency, a trade like this would really cripple our ability to add enough talent to build a Super Bowl caliber defense
Unofficial depth chart doesn’t take injuries into account sadly
I don’t think we have the dudes to make it happen in the playoffs. I could see a playoff win if we get in and we get a favorable matchup round 1 but that’s the ceiling. We aren’t beating this Ravens or Chiefs team in their stadium in January
My Texans take
Yeah that was fucking baller
Pitre has just not been the player we hoped. So many opportunities for huge plays these past few weeks that he hasn’t made and several big plays given
All Houston teams plus the Dallas Stars because we don’t have a hockey team down here.
But honestly I find regular season baseball pretty boring so I only watch postseason Astros, very casual fan there
Giving Mahomes the ball with about 6 minutes left and a chance to take the lead. What could go wrong.
Those are the drives you need to convert when you play these elite QB’s
