- The 6-3 Seahawks blew a 2 score lead against the 3-6 Rams
- Vikings turned the ball over 3 times and allowed 5 field goals in a loss to the Broncos by 1 point
- Redhot CJ Stroud threw 3 picks and the Texans barely held on against the 2-8 Cardinals
- Dolphins put up 400+ yards of offense and only scored 20 points, barely hanging on against the Raiders
The point is, this shit can happen every week, even to the very good teams up against bad teams.
Remember our terrible 3-13-1 team from 2021? Remember where 2 of those wins came from? We beat the 10-3 Cardinals, and the 13-3 Packers.
Be happy that we ended up on the winning side of the ball. Anything can happen on Sunday, especially in divisonal matchups. We pulled out the W, we’re 8-2 and are playoff bound. FTP.
The Offense was straight up bootycheeks for a majority of the game, and even with the 4 Turnovers, 3 INTs and 1 Fumble on Special Teams, our Defense, who was on the Field for about 40 minutes mind you, still held the Bears to 26 Points. When it was time to be clutch and get the lead, the crazy bastards actually did it. And of course the Safety by Hutch was the cherry on top. Every team will have a bad/off day here and there and every QB has a bad/off day here and there. It was ugly, and I mean blobfish ugly, but we got the Win. Just got to keep going strong and keep stacking these wins.
The defense gave up a lot of running yards, most of them to a mobile QB, so that leaves a bad taste in our mouths considering our history. They also gave up a few big throws that hurt.
However, overall they did a good job picking up the offense.
1st INT -> Lions force a punt
2nd INT -> Defense generates a fumble
3nd INT -> Get a stop on 3rd and 1, force a FG
Lions immediately go three-and out -> CHI gets a long drive but has to settle for a FG. A TD here is likely a kill shot
Lions get a huge drive and score -> Defense forces a three-and-out that gained one yard, opening the door for the final drive
CHI last gasp -> Immediately snuffed out by the strip-sack
The only one they didn’t get was when the Bears scored a TD after the fumbled kickoff. Obviously CHI scored on the opening drive, which is not ideal. So not a perfect game, but Chicago had multiple opportunities to really open the game up, and the defense held up just enough to give us a chance to win.
How many times have the Lions fallen victim to some bullshit over the years?
This video doesn’t even include the 66 Yarder as it was posted in 2019.
I want to add; the Jets who have one of the best defenses in the league gave up 32 to the Bills. I know this is wild for some of you to believe, but good QBs put up points
Stafford - Goff comeback magic !
17 points in 3 minutes. That is explosive. They won the game. The offense looked good the whole game minus turning over the football. The defense kept them in the game . Not gonna over think it yet. Hopefully get cedee and houston back soon
This franchise 8-2 for the first time since the telephone was invented, and people wanna be picky 😂.
Shut up and enjoy it. This team was in the toilet 2 years ago and now we could be fighting for 1 seed.
I view the win as flukey…but because Goff threw three picks, not because of the comeback.
Well said, my man!
How could anyone feel bitter about a win? Wtf no fan of this team for more than just a few months can possibly be bitter… a win is a win fuck the rest
Bitter? WE WON
