I think the reason people are fast to move on Pickett is because of what we were sold. He was supposed to be a high floor low ceiling pick. An older rookie who’s strengths were accuracy and decision making. He has so shown to be not very good at either of those things. Plus because he was older coming out, it is hard to imagine a lot more growth. Person wise he has been great but he just hasn’t shown even a mediocre level of play. Please prove us wrong Kenny. Would love to see it.

Im a draft nerd, so I wasn’t particularly sold on Pickett from the beginning. That said, I’d be willingly patient if A) this was a roster devoid of talent in need of a massive rebuild and B) there were clear signs of progress from Kenny. He quite literally has played worse in the second half of his career than the 1st. Canada is an offense to the sport, but this level of offensive incompetence has to in large part be due to the QB play. You won’t find anyone who thinks the team has bottom of the barrel skill position talent, and though the O-line isn’t great, Kenny absolutely makes things worse. You can’t be a bottom 5 qb in every stat besides turnovers and expect him to leap up 20 spots. Him finishing 15th in most stats would be a miracle. I just think its very unlikely that the Steelers starting QB in 2025 is on the roster right now
