Mavericks rationale: Jerami Grant is a big wing with a 7’3" wingspan who is good on defense and averaging 22 a game albeit inefficiently. Boucher is a real 6’9" with a 7’4" wingspan who is really good on defense and can knock down some 3s. Boucher has a 3.9 BLK% which is higher than Poeltl and the same as Lively, for example.
Raptors rationale: they get better spacing with a real high-volume 3 point shooter averaging 18 a game and only give up a 31-year old Boucher whose archetype of player they have a lot of.
Blazers rationale: they get off Grant’s contract and pick up a young piece in Josh Green who has shown a lot of promise when given a higher usage role where he can attack the paint.
