Hello everyone. Long story short I will try to be as objective as possible. 9 months ago I was a professional video editor, freelancer and was making good money out of it. Decided to change my work and go to sales. I went into sales and started work in the best business coaching in Bulgaria and probably in the world (won’t say the name of the company). I have been working there for 7 months now as a sales representative but because of inappropriate target audience assessment from their side, they managed to convert only 2% of the leads I gave them. As a result, my commission was really low. I shared with them that I am considering starting a new side hustle just to have some cashflow going so I can start investing money but they advised me to stay for longer in sales and it will pay me. I don’t know…I don’t have cashflow and this really makes me anxious and unmotivated to do anything whatsoever. I also have a chance to start a mobile detailing business. Don’t know what’s appropriate to do - listen to them / listen to my anxious ass…
What I forgot to mention and will just put it here is that they gave me a chance to be a sales development representative but again can’t expect quick cashflow.
Is anyone else succeeding in their sales team? Is the business succeeding? Do you have a sales mentor?
If no to the above questions, get out. Your anxiety and burnout is trying to tell you this is failing and won’t get better.
The sales processes is 3-6 months since the service is high ticket and there are many leads still not closed but moving through the pipeline. Most of them as they told me left the project and I am skeptical about the outcome.
