I think most a lot of the issues this team has had this season is KoC getting scared, playing conservative and not to lose. I wish KOC has the same philosophy as flores, play aggressively, and maybe even wrecklessly some times. I think when you give players that confidence just to go out there and make plays it energized the entire offense/ defense.
Zimmer views the O from the lens of D guy so he knows what makes things tough on the D. Being predictable is the down fall for O’s.
Why people label Zimmer “conservative” is beyond me, his run pass ratio was NORMAL! and exactly what McVay did in LA until Gurley got injured. All coaches play to the strengths of their teams, we lack a true running threat so we are pass happy and PREDICATABLE.
When KOC was brought to LA his public goal was to help Goff get back on track and get the running attack back, two objectives he failed at.
