On one hand, you’ve got a bye on the other side of the Bears game so you’re giving him 2 more weeks to rest.

On the other hand, if you lose that Bears game you’re 6-6 and on a two-game losing skid going into the bye.

What would you do?

My concern is that he won’t be the difference maker he was with Kirk. Dobbs hasn’t shown the ability to push the ball down the field yet. Hoping that changes as he learns the offense but like I said it’s a concern potentially. Rest him into bye.

Even if he won’t produce as much as he did with Kirk, just having him on the field takes up defenders which can open up the run game (also for Dobbs). And if he doesn’t take up that much extra coverage then you got more chances to throw to him. Surtain taking Addison out of the same is a prime example, had JJ been out there Addison probably would’ve had more targets.

Obviously his health comes first and make sure he’s 100%, but either way him being out there will make an impact either by his own plays or by allowing others to make more plays.
