It’s been a decade since the Giants had a competent O-Line. Eli Manning had time to throw in 2012, the O-Line in 2012 wasn’t a top tier O-Line but it had to be somewhere in the middle of the pack. Also Ahmad Bradshaw & David Wilson ran the ball well in 2012.

What I’m trying to say is I want the Giants to have a competent O-Line. Eli Manning had a Good O-Line in the early part of his career and kinda the middle part, Daniel Jones was never surrounded with a Good O-Line. Whoever the future QB is for the Giants, I hope they don’t ruin him by not providing him with a Good O-Line.

The part that absolutely drives me crazy is it’s not like they’ve neglected the line, but no matter who it is, no one can get it right. 3 different GMs, 4 different coaches, and not a single one of them has made any difference. Reese, Gettleman, Schoen have all swung and missed on major OL acquisitions with top 10 picks and big free agent contracts (Ereck Flowers, Nate Solder/Will Hernandez, Evan Neal). Guys we draft in the mid-to-late rounds aren’t even passable backups. Even when they nailed a pick like Andrew Thomas, it’s still the worst line in the league. Any OL who suits up for the Giants is immediately bottom 5 at their position.

I don’t know how to fix it, but I don’t think the answer is continuing to dump premium draft picks into the abyss. Something has to change with coaching, starting with position coaches all the way up to the OC. QB plays a part as well. Eli was immobile late in his career and Jones has a horrible feel for the pressure.
