There’s a lot of hos left to stunt on.

Feeling better about the long run future of the Broncos. We have the right coach at last. I also think George Paton, despite the disaster of the Russ trade and what we gave up for it, has shown he is good at identifying talent. We have some promising young talent on the roster now.
I’m tempering my excitement about the short run future of the Broncos. We still have a relatively weak roster, a legacy of year after year of missing in the draft and especially missing in free agency. We are on a good run but we’ve had some good fortune too - Mahomes had flu, Bills were hit by a lot of injuries and screwed up at the end with 12 men on the field, Vikings lost Cousins. We have made hard work of these victories but we’ve struggled over the line and at least got the wins. Last year we were losing these close games.
I fear that we are about to get another reality check in some of the upcoming games against the Browns, Texans and Lions. In some ways those 3 games are a mini playoff run for the crown of “are we actually relevant in 2023?”. Win all 3 and you’d have to say that yes the 8-5 Broncos are relevant and will be in the conversation in January. But more than likely we get brought back down to earth.
It’s less about the record and more about how we got it. I feel better at 5-5 with a 4 game win streak and wins against the Chiefs and Bills than I would have at 5-5 with wins against the Raiders and Commies but losses against the Chiefs and Bills.
I still think the offense needs to figure their shit out but it’s been nice seeing the guys excited and playing for each other
7-10 to 10-7 team is what I see
