I’m ready for my downvotes for this take, but our team is 100% fine.

I understand that it’s easy to get frustrated at X or Y player for whatever reason. Realistically, I view this type of game as a scheduled loss for our team. Granted, both teams are playing the last game of a 3 in 4. With that being said, the Celtics are ending a road trip that began the 15th with the last game of their 3 in 4. The Hornets have had a comfortable home stretch and cut their teeth against talented teams leading up to this.

It’s almost like we had a trap game and scheduled loss overlap which really leaves me thinking we should be talking more about what we did right. In a vacuum this game was bad for us, but with context, considering the last few weeks that led to this game, I am no less confident in anyone in our team.

Just a reminder we have been relatively spoiled to have such a competitive and winning team compared to teams with similar age. I want our guys to win as much as anyone here. I think that, overall, they’re doing great at that. As bad as crunch time has been the last few years, it’s probably obvious to plenty of us that they’ve made strides when it comes to closing out. It just wasn’t as apparent tonight.

P.S. We’re not even a quarter through the season. Let’s just keep up the rally!

I swear every time the team lose, I see a post that says “the team is fine” or “we’re only a couple games in”.

100% trap game. Shorthanded at that. D-White and Al are good at settling things down too so it was pretty inconvenient for them to be the ones out.

I agree, although I think some fans are just gonna be emotional because it was a pretty horrendous loss: blowing multiple big leads including 9 point lead with like 2 mins left, missing 2 free throws to seal it and 1 to tie, there was some pretty bad shit in there.

But what really matters is how they respond, last years team would have stretches like these last three where they mailed it in and won some with talent and shooting, but also would lose like 2-3 straight because they didn’t have good habits.

Joe’s been calling them out for like 2 straight games, need to actually see them pull their shit together.

Celtics played a back-to-back to finish off a 4-game road trip. Memphis played them really well and the Celtics won a close one. Then they were down White and Horford on the 2nd night of the back-to-back with LaMelo playing his best ball of the season, and lost in OT.

Looking at it that way, how on earth can anyone be upset with this team?
