If you really think one additional game is gonna kill the health of our team just rest every single one of them an additional game against the pistons.

Basically we need to blow out the Bulls by as much as humanly possible.
Idk about decent shooter lmao, hasn’t shot above 30% from three in his 3 seasons.
Also at the very least if you win the in-season tournament you’ve likely come out of it with like 5+ wins for the regular season. Winning games is good!
There’s also just the enjoyment of competition like you said. The finals doesn’t even count towards anything, but if the celts faced the Lakers majority of people here would definitely give a fuck lmao.
Depends on how much you watch. I’ve used alternative sites for years, but past couple years I’ve been trying to watch like every single game, and you just don’t get consistency with the streams. Some sites go bad, lag, and they’re always behind so if you like following live discussions like game threads or Twitter it doesn’t really work.
League Pass is worth it if you watch enough, AND you aren’t blacked out in the region. You’ll also just get to catch other games here and there that are good, been watching a ton of other teams this year. Other bonuses include Full VODs available after the game, so if you miss it you can watch it blind if you want. And you get to pick the feed so you can always listen to the Celts broadcast.
The downsides are of course the blackout areas, you obviously don’t get nationally televised games, and I will say their app on smart TVs can get kinda buggy which is kinda ass for how much you pay that they can’t have a good app.
I’m not sure what the numbers are but at this point the rotation is definitely keeping White with Jaylen. KP stays out there for probably half of that stint before Al comes in. The Jrue will come in with Tatum to replace Jaylen and White.
That has worked really well recently as White has been our best playmaker.
Yea when it comes to blowing late game leads we need to look at the process vs results. Yes we did slow it a bit and had some bad possessions, but that not a disastrous blow the lead as it seemed with the results.
They still got great looks, there was a play where ball movement was incredible and Jaylen just missed a 3. Dame hit some tough ass shots. And refs killed the flow, the Porzingis play would’ve been likely a bucket but instead goes the other way with a tech.
The Celts have been prone to some bad late game execution before, but this one was just a mix of the Bucks being really good and some missed shots and ref ball.
Not a perfect win, but Celtics just held a lead wire to wire with the Bucks. Leads falter, the Bucks are really good. If we lose a game like this we call it a fake comeback, it’s a good win.
Also, Jaylen Brown.
Important to note a section of December’s schedule is not yet created because of the in-season tournament results. So there’s like 4-5 more games in there.
I agree, although I think some fans are just gonna be emotional because it was a pretty horrendous loss: blowing multiple big leads including 9 point lead with like 2 mins left, missing 2 free throws to seal it and 1 to tie, there was some pretty bad shit in there.
But what really matters is how they respond, last years team would have stretches like these last three where they mailed it in and won some with talent and shooting, but also would lose like 2-3 straight because they didn’t have good habits.
Joe’s been calling them out for like 2 straight games, need to actually see them pull their shit together.
Charlotte game should be a tough one. B2B so Al not playing while KP and Brown are banged up. Team has been in a bit of lull last couple games. If they win this definitively with guys out that’ll be a pretty big statement win.
I think he’s like top 10 in made threes this month while being 131st in minutes played lmao. Also has the most games on the team with 5+ threes.
I think Jaylen Brown is playing the most consistent defense of his career this year.
Think his decision making has been getting better with chemistry, it’s just he hasn’t been quite the scorer that he was the last three years yet. Three ball has been ok, but he’s been smoking some bunnies, including that dunk which goes from an exclamation point to a disaster class decision.
Out hustled us too give them credit for that. Also game plan wise just forced us to get out mathed, our shot profile was way off from usual with way less threes. Add that in with all the extra possessions Memphis got by hustling for rebounds and refs calling turnovers, it’s quite crazy we still won this game.
Yam is solid but he looks content that he’ll be a good player oversees that gets minutes as opposed to guy in the NBA that rides the bench for now.
Begarin isn’t really even as promising as Walsh right now a few years in so I doubt he’s ever coming either.
Nah he was kinda cooking after a he started the game 1-4. I was begging for them to go to more the Jaylen KP 2 man game late when Tatum was bricking everything.
Obviously sample size matters but thought it’d be fun to compare to other great stretches during the past two years.
21-22 Celtics from Jan 23rd to April 10th: 35 GP, 120.2 ORTG, 104.8 DRTG, 15.5 NETRTG
22-23 Celtics from Nov 3rd to Dec 8th: 19 GP, 121.9 ORTG, 110 DRTG, 11.9 NETRTG
I’ve been looking at our draft assets recently and although I think our rotation is good, I just feel like Brad will definitely make a trade because the man always maximizes the roster any way he can, he hasn’t gone a deadline without a trade, he’s the anti-Ainge. The TPE will expire after this year, and this is also the last year they can aggregate salaries in a trade while in the second apron, I just don’t think Brad will let all those opportunities go by.
We also have some sneaky good 2nds that are not only assets but make some of our firsts more expendable.
Our picks:
First rounds picks: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027, 2028 (Spurs Swap), 2030
*****only 2 of these picks are tradeable due to Stepien Rule, you need to have 1 pick every other year.
Second round picks:
So overall we have 2 tradeable firsts between 24-27, and in 3 of those years we have potentially high second round picks with Bulls, Pistons/Wizards, and Blazers. So assuming we are contenders for all those years, our own first round draft pick might not be too far off from those picks.
Idk what the trade is, whether it’s Caruso or some under the radar trade, but I don’t think Brad will just sit still with all these assets and this last window of opportunity in the second apron.
The defense is what’s really makes him stands out, he’s a genuine 3 and D guy this year. He had great numbers last year but guys would always try to attack him thinking he was bad. He’s just straight but a great defender this year. He also improved the jumper release and shooting on the move. He’s really solidified himself as a real championship level rotation guy. It’s pretty wild considering he was on a 2-way contract 2 years ago.
