He has had back to back poor games. He has 0 sacks so far. He is enough weeks removed from the injury that you can’t use that as an excuse. For someone that was expected to bookend Aidan and taken #46 overall, I need more from him.

If Jamo got (past tense) 10 posts about his on field lack of production, Paschal needs at least 1. People were ready to give up on Jamo after 1 game this season!

From everything we’ve heard he is a good kid with high character and works hard. I am hoping he turns it around and I’ll give him till the end of this year to improve. He has ample opportunity because the other DEs haven’t proven they deserve snaps either.

5 total tackles, 2 solo, 1 for loss. That’s not terrible. I’m not saying he’s been great, or that he’s getting the pressure I hoped for, but can we dial back this rhetoric of everybody being either 5 stars or 0 stars? He’s been mid. Let’s hope he improves.

Can we stop bringing up draft position? It’s not a guarantee of success, and y’all’s expectations are way too high compared to historic success rates.

Teams only get about 2, sometimes 3 starters per draft out of 7 rounds. Hell, around 30% of active players went undrafted.

Holmes has gotten 3-4 starters in every single draft. That’s not only good, it’s unsustainable. There are gonna be many more misses along the way as we improve, and we gotta stop saying “this guy was picked at ____” so he needs to do XYZ

Speaking of 46, Jack Campbell needs to play like a 1st round pick. Too many missed tackles.

Jack Campbell is essentially learning a new position on the fly, during his first year in the NFL. The Lions have the luxury of playing him even though we are a playoff team. I expect improvements from him as the season goes on, which we have seen. And next year I expect him to be ferocious with a full year under his belt.

Paschal, Charles Harris, John cominski and the Okwara brothers have all been awful. They are getting almost zero production from the right side of the line.

Some fans are falling into a trap of thinking that all of our draft picks have to pan out, and that they have to pan out according to where players were selected. Please stop. When you look at Brad Holmes’s selections in an aggregate, he is still one of the best GMs in the NFL when it comes to the draft. If Paschal can stay healthy, he’ll be a great part of our future.

Paschal was never expected to be a book end Edge rusher opposite Hitchinson. He was drafted as a D-line developmental rotational piece.

I wouldnt be surprised if Alex Anzalone is second on the team with QB pressures. Besides Hutch Alex has been getting to the QB a lot this year on LB blitzes.

I wasnt big on his play his first year with us but its very clear currently that Alex is very deserving of his team captain status and contract resigning. He’s been effective on all levels of the defense.
