It’s going to be competitive moving forward, but I’m not scared. We’ve got the right people in charge, and Brad Holmes knows what’s going to be needed to win this division in the years to come.

Frankly, I was full of hubris earlier this season thinking that all the other teams in our division were going to be down for a few years to come. The Packers look pretty impressive, particularly on defense with Rashawn Gary on the end. What’s remarkable about the Packers tonight is that they still have three of their main contributors on the injury list. Glad we split with them
Seattle
Go blue on Saturday, go blue on Sunday!!
Something tells me that if this were to happen, the wraps would for sure find some way to screw us over. Please, this cannot happen.
Tom Gores is the worst. This downfall started in earnest when he brought in Van Gundy and gave him total control. They’ve been scrambling ever since. What’s also frustrating to me, and pretty much makes the NBA unwatchable, is how a team like San Antonio, who had one down season (especially compared to us) somehow lands Victor Wembanyama, but we couldn’t even get a top four pick last year. Not to mention, superstars are allowed to jump around and change teams on a whim to chase titles.
Actually, rumor has It that since Brian Ferentz will be available after the season, the OC job in Chicago is his! LOL
Thank you for staying this. I wasn’t on this sub at all during MBF tonight, but I came here hoping to be pleasantly surprised that people would be a hell of a lot more optimistic than they’ve been in recent days. I should have known better. The sky is still falling as far as they are concerned.
Make it so, we must manifest this at all costs!
You’re absolutely right. Which begs the question, if we win the coin toss, shouldn’t we take the ball first rather than defer? I would
I have a question for Bengals fans. In retrospect, do you wish your team had drafted Penei Sewell instead of Ja’Marr Chase? As a Lions fan, I remember being so relieved that Sewell was still there when we drafted him. And he’s now the anchor and leader of our offensive line. I think the right player in this case went to the right team, just wondering what your thoughts are.
Ben Johnson will be leaving for sure, I just don’t want him in our division though. Let him go to any other team not named the Chicago Bears.
You are right, I reread your comment in full and you were not having a go at him. I have removed my comment as result. My bad
I don’t see the Lions picking up these defensive players who have been cut in the last week. Partly because Dan Campbell is trying to believe our defense into existence by talking them up and saying our players are enough to be a good defense.
I’m glad we didn’t go that route, one player wasn’t going to make a difference, and we weren’t going to sign either one to a long-term contract. This team is building for the future
Don’t be jealous yet, if we build up our defensive line as they’ve done in recent years, we can be right there with them next year.
A lot of our fans, particularly on this sub, have gotten very spoiled this year. We swept the division opponents last year and beat the Packers in our first game this year, that kind of streak does not last in the NFL. We’re going to win the Division, and everyone who’s talking shit about Goff and Hutch and everyone else will get right back on the band wagon, and we’ll probably let them. Stay strong Lions fans
Pretty much, and it’s sad
At least you won’t need to watch the game since you’re so convinced that’s how it’s going to go.
Talk her down, tell her it’s okay. Tell her the Lions are clear of our competitors in the division, quote Aaron Rodgers and tell her to just “relax.”
