How convenient I got a text when I’m waiting for my oled. It’s early morning & I had to do a double take. Even checked the ups website to make sure nothings delayed lol. Please inform everybody not to press on these links.
Happened to me even with FedEx be careful out there
It‘s just a normal scam message. These days you get one every week. Nothing new
r/scam
Yea i ordered my steam deck oled off temu for $500 flat and its being shipped thru uber eats. so im good!
I’ve gotten a lot of these USPS scam messages recently.
Hilariously, every time it’s from a number with a non-US country code.
What I don’t understand is why Apple isn’t using machine learning to auto block these scumbags. I get these randomly and they almost always have the same word for word.
I get at least one of these every day. Mine are like a little .png with the USPS logo and all.
Just found out this is called ‘smishing’.
USPS has literally everyone’s address but we only have your cell phone number for some reason. Go to https://obviouslynotuspswebsite.com to update your information. This is a thing that happens.
I’ve been getting these a lot lately, even when I’m not expecting a package. First time I got it was about a month or two ago, and at first I almost believed it, but it’s almost always sent from “xv6_5j3301@1111 . com” lolll
What’s with all the scam texts coming from email address? I get them all the time! You’d think they’d at least spoof a number or something to make it a little less obvious? Oh well, the more obvious the scam the easier it is to avoid! So I really should complain 😅 just makes no sense to me 🤔
Standard scam. Running for the last few years. Not related to Valve.
Even I got a similar message just today in Finland. Not exactly the same but a packet delivery scam nevertheless. It has been quite awhile I last received one
This is obviously fake, and you are stupid if you fall for it.
Yeah These scammers are getting Emboldened
Public Service Announcement - PSA, This time of the year plan on getting More packages / deliveries Never click on embedded links IN EMAILS Or Text messages
If you’ve got doubts about any delivery check online through a browser never in the email or txt msg
You’ve been warned.
Number one way to protect yourself against scams is to read the link that is sent in the email or text message.
If you are aren’t sure still there’s a website that allows you to figure out where a link is going https://wheregoes.com/ for example
