Not trying to make this post overly political, but it’s also at the core of my question.

I consider myself basically dead center on a lot of political stuff. I enjoyed the synopsis of Poverty by America. It’s appears to do with America’s complacency with poverty forming around us.

Reading a few more reviews it appears the author brings up a few left ideological solutions. So my question then; is this book more preachy or more facts based?

I wanted to get this book for my Dad this Christmas, he’s heavily right winged with a small splash of hippy. If there’s room for interpretation I would like to expose him to some of these thoughts. I fear if it’s too preachy I will just get an ear full come Easter.
