Just my own thoughts on the game, but good lord Mahomes is such an amazing player. This game reminded me of the the game we lost to the Bucs in the Super Bowl. Mahomes making great plays doing everything in his power to make the most out of every play, dodging amazing DL, and his ability to put the ball anywhere on the field he can make any throw. This game actually really was encouraging to me, because I guarantee if we replayed them in the Super Bowl we KNOW we can beat them and the weather conditions very very likely will not be so terrible so that our wr’s won’t have wet hands trying to catch a wet ball. We have a great chance at getting to the Super Bowl this year and we will most likely either play eagles or 49ers, both teams Mahomes knows he can beat. There isn’t a defense that can stop Mahomes and the wrs have a ton of time to get better at finishing the connections on the throws.
Sure. My point isn’t that Pat isn’t Elite. We all know he’s the best QB in the league by a pretty wide margin. All that being said, he still hasn’t been on his usual level of excellence. Could be pressing from the drops. Maybe. He certainly isn’t getting much help but all the same is true. He hasn’t been as good this year.
I was just pushing back on the OP’s idea that he played an “amazing game” which is far form the truth. That’s all.
