Many decades ago KOA had what most Denver area residents considered the greatest radio broadcast team for Broncos games. For those of you too young to have experienced it, Bob Martin and Larry Zimmer are esteemed names to hold in reverence for how truly great they were as announcers. I was attempting to watch a NBA broadcast today and had to turn down ESPN’s tandem of Beth and Doris and switch the audio to music because yeah, listening to those two isn’t even remotely a pleasant experience. Don’t get me wrong I don’t really miss Van Gundy or Mark I forgot about Jokic Jackson but really ESPN, that’s your best solution?
There was a time in the more distant past when many Broncos fans would tune in the game, turn down the volume on the TV and listen to Bob and Larry on KOA instead because those two actually made listening to a running dialogue during a game an enjoyable experience. I know I’m just showing off my hey kid get off my lawn side by posting this but was curious if there are still any old school Broncos fans still listening to the radio broadcast with the current announcers while watching the game on TV with the sound off?
I live out of state and don’t get many games when we suck. Logan, Lewis and Wargin are my Sunday afternoons.
Best broadcast around!
