We all know about the jersey of every Cleveland QB since they returned, and after 20 years they finally found someone in Baker. Killed it his rookie year, started winning games, MADE IT to the playoffs, WON a playoff game, and struggled the next year and he’s gone. Just like that? They finally found consistency with a QB, struggled in ‘21 and that was it. I feel he was done dirty by a franchise that needed a savior and he did exactly that. I’m just curious on how the fan base felt.

They knew they needed a guy. Idk if Deshaun is the answer, which no one here was happy about btw, but they definitely knew Baker wasn’t the guy.

I mean I might be bias but look at him over in Tampa, they haven’t beaten a single good team team this year.

Anyways, so they went for a guy they think who could be as they say elite, so they told baker they weren’t giving him another contract. He got mad about it (not saying it wasn’t justified) and it seemed like he lost the locker room anyways so he requested a trade and the team allowed it as they got Deshaun.

    And now we’re here.

Both sides are in better shape so it ended up working out, even though the people of Reddit believe the Deshaun trade is an absolute failure.

Truth be told I think browns fans are happy and Baker is happy so it’s not a big deal imo.
