"We’re transitioning to a brand new technology. It’s expensive. It requires people to have a different relationship with their vehicle that has been largely unchanged for decades," one expert said.
That’s what always bugged me about the EV market. Not that I don’t think EVs will never be the mainstream (we can only run our economy on dead dinosaur juice for so long). But hybrids should have been the next logical step. We just don’t have the infrastructure in America to support a large EV population. I’d rather have a hybrid with a good electric range but with the option of an ICE for those times I’m no where near a charging station or I can’t wait around for an hour.
