“Fly on the road to victory”? Birds can’t fly “on a road”. Birds fly in the sky. You walk on a road, you run on a road, you can even drive on a road. Something can fly “over” a road but not “on” it. I’ve never seen anything “fly on a road”, unless you’re talking figuratively about a fast car blazing.

Hard to believe they’ve been singing this nonsense since the 60’s.
