“Fly on the road to victory”? Birds can’t fly “on a road”. Birds fly in the sky. You walk on a road, you run on a road, you can even drive on a road. Something can fly “over” a road but not “on” it. I’ve never seen anything “fly on a road”, unless you’re talking figuratively about a fast car blazing.

Hard to believe they’ve been singing this nonsense since the 60’s.

    It really should be all about booing their own players if they aren’t perfect, booing injured players, getting drunk and beating up each other / opposing team fans.
