As we all know, League doesn’t have a Linux native client but the Windows version is easily playable on Linux with the same performance it has on Windows, even slightly better if you’re on AMD

Now, every few months Riot makes an update that breaks compatibility without warning and it’s always up to the community to fix it. This “without warning” is important because other game companies happen to temporarily break compatibility, but they preemptively make an announcement and they go “Hey guys listen, next week we’re breaking compatibility but we’re fixing it asap”, this recently happened with Roblox and Battlebit Remastered and I feel it’s a good way to handle the issue. What happens with League though is that you open your client, queue up, go through champ select, and when the game launches it just crashes with an error message, triggering Leaverbuster, possibly making you lose LP and wasting other people’s time. And then we have to wait for GloriousEggroll or some other user to push a patch and fix compatibility

So my request is, can we get a red warning message in the top left corner when a breaking change happens? And maybe some cooperation between a Rioter and the community maintainers? I’m sure the players would really appreciate it
