Is there even a good reason for this and seems weird sticking two title rivals in that time. Can imagine it will also be very difficult for Liverpool fans travelling up from London so early to get to the game on time

They are only thinking about Liverpudlians jobs of stealing cars and slinging drugs. If you ask me they doing that city a favour having them kick-off during non business hours.

I remember hearing once that they liked to schedule certain games early in the day so that people are less drunk

Isn’t it like maybe a 2 hour drive? I don’t live in England. Also, don’t you guys have pretty good public transportation? Do people not take the bus when they go to games?

Because TV picks the 1230 match and Liverpool does good ratings.

It’s fun to see Klopp pretend to not understand this.

It’s nice to see a United fan pointing out that it’s not just our fans that travel from London

Isn’t it because broadcasters want the biggest teams to be on TV, but at the same time local authorities have to manage congestion and so 12:30 slots are spread between the major cities, but because Everton suck it’s up to Liverpool to pick up their slack? That’s the only explanation I’ve heard which makes sense of the large discrepancy between Liverpool and the rest of the Big 6, what the other 5 have in common is that they share a city with at least one other of the Big 6.

Complete speculation, and apologies, some lazy stereotypes here. But I think the police have a say in it. I’ve been shopping in Liverpool on a Saturday a few years ago after a 3pm kickoff and the town was lary as fuck after. I mean Liverpool can get pretty lively anyway on a Saturday night, couple that with a later ko I simply don’t think the police have the numbers. Just a hunch.
