Is Todd from the future? Is he saying it’ll be fun in 2030?

I was at least expecting an interesting world. I have many criticisms for say, Fallout 4 as a game, but at least it is an interesting setting to explore and have dumb adventures in, and despite its failings it still held my attention for hundreds of hours.

There is nothing that stands out in Starfield. Every time Todd stated that it was his pet project forever just continues to baffle me because his pet project was apparently a completely creatively bankrupt Sci-Fi setting. The companions feel like placeholders, the factions are effectively what you’d find as the building blocks provided to you in a generic tabletop guidebook. The main quest is, save for like 2 quests, more or less if they cut out every Skyrim quest except for the ones where you go get dragon shouts from the Walls.

I don’t even know if I’d go back for mods, unless someone makes a completely seamless land vehicle mod I don’t even want to touch the ‘exploration’ again.

No seriously why are these maps so huge and empty with zero ability to move faster outside of fast travel?
