Hi all, so I’ve somewhat recently started a clothing brand TATYAXVERSE at tatyaxverse.co.uk my problem is I’m getting an okay amount of traffic around 30 people a day for a month or so but no sales.

So I would like to ask if there is something I am doing wrong or missing something? Some constructive criticism would be really appreciated!

Sorry to say this but this is one of the most common rookie mistakes. The market is oversaturated with clothing brands that have captured the market. When launching a business you need to first do actual market research - any decisions that purely come from “your heart” will cloud your business development. Was this something based on empirical data? What’s the value you are creating? Branding is something that is the very last step of a business cycle - you can’t start with a brand and expect it will sell itself since it is a no-name business! Reading the comments, most people don’t even like the name and yet you already invested in clothing with that label.

Unless you get some viral celebrities to promote this you’re playing against all odds.

Fail fast and find a game with odds in your favor. Best of luck with that.

This was a fear of mine as there is meaning behind the name which is in the about section, but of course 99% of people wont get to that if they dont like the name.

I think it’s more of an issue with the domain than the actual brand itself. When read as the letters all together, it feels like one of those Amazon brands that sell generic products without a pronounceable name.

It’s likely less of an issue for the clothing itself, although your designs without the prominent brand name are more appealing to me personally.

Is it targeted traffic? Is it bots? Something could be putting customers off but 1 sale in 100 views isnt that bad so maybe you havent had enough customers. Personally without seeing anything the name is not appealing to me. It could be website pricing branding imaging and only way to find out is to do a test audience for feedback.

Both organic and targeted ad. I have heard the name comment a few times, is there anything specific you dont like about it?

I just dont know how to pronounce it correctly or what it means. What sort of brand image it has. Now im most likely not a targeted group so doesnt mean its a bad thing. Your target audience may get it straight away who knows but youl need to do surveys and get feedback which is another can of worms.

Yeah thats a good idea and constructive rather than “I dont like it”. I’m at a cross road as the name has meaning behind but its just pronounced tatyaverse

Fashion is very fickle. Look at the detail of the traffic, how long do the spend time on site How many pages of product do they browse Do they put stuff in cart When they look at a product page how long do they spend on the product page, do they click on the pictures select sizes or any other actions that indicate interest When they check out is there a particular step where they exit - maybe you don’t have enough payment options for example

Around a minute is average and only one product page, I dont think I have a way of checking if carts are abandoned without an email attached. They normally exit on the shop page, we have paypal visa apple pay google pay looking to get klarna
