This is Davante just being nice about Derek. We all know Derek Carr was the sole influence as to why Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow, and Darren Waller got signed. He wanted his weapons and he got them. This was the 1st year JMD and Ziegler was in charge. It was easy to persuade Mark Davis with extensions and signings. Derek Carr used his persuasiveness like the salesman he is.

Derek Carr was signed in early 2022, Adams was signed right after early in 2022, Waller in 2022, Renfrow in 2022. All may be gone by Tuesday.

That’s a very selective quote from that entire interview and is taken out of context

He spoke about wanting to be a Raider and having zero interest in requesting a trade

He came to win, and we aren’t doing much of that regardless of the QB.

I think it was in the works to bring him here under the Gruden regime. Then all the shit happened but he still ended up joining under JMD. What was a playoff team quickly developed into the shit show we see today.

Adams in Gruden’s offense would have been a sight to see. Moving forward we really have a coach who can’t get these guy to eat like he should. It’s not just Renfrow who isn’t having fun.

Letting carr and adams gel another year into the system would have been the smartest decision. But smarts isn’t this staffs strong suit

I can’t remember a player, who complained this much publicly while starting every week. But I can’t even blame him, if you look at how this team is run.

Getting rid of Carr and getting Gargflafalo is one of the dumbest things the Raiders have ever done.

The Raiders are completely dysfunctional a this point. A HC that cannot coach, a bad QB. An owner who had no clue.

I like Devante, but not for the money we are paying. We are paying prime time bucks for a receiver that is no longer in his prime. This is the sort of dumb stuff the Raiders have been doing for a very long time.
