I brought this up a couple of days ago stating that we don’t know how much power Kevin Warren has and was laughed at. I thought he only had control over the management (stadium, revenue being brought in, etc) side of the bears, but maybe not. Thoughts?

    It’s pure speculation - Watch/listen for yourself 10:54 - 12:06

The question was: Do the Bears bring back Matt Eberflus next season. and what about Justin Fields?

Answer: “I think right now it’s trending towards Eberflus not being back. That is in part due to Kevin Warren’s influence in the organization. He did not hire Ryan Poles, he did not hire Matt Eberflus, I think he is motivated to see what he can do with his own guys in there. I have also heard that Kevin Warren wants to be a little bit more involved on the football side, which may influence the decision there.”

Yep. That’s a completely speculative comment and he leaves himself plenty of wiggle room. The fact that he can’t say “Eberflus is done” is mildly concerning. Also Kevin Warren “wanting to be a little more involved” confirms what we’ve all said. He currently isn’t involved in the football side because he was brought it to do the stadium deal as a real estate guy.

I think poles has actually done a decent job throwing a squad together. It’s flus and getsy that can get lost

I feel like this thread is forgetting that we are fans…but for them it’s an every day job. If Warren doesn’t like working with Flus or Poles then he has the right to make this move…it’s on the McCaskeys for this ass backwards hiring process they had. If you just don’t like how things are tracking and you feel like you wouldn’t have hired them or they aren’t building the team to your liking then by all means make the change.

Kevin Warren is here to stay and Poles/Flus can very easily be replaced. We would look back and grade out Flus an F- and Poles would get a C+.

It makes zero sense to get rid of Poles.

I really want someone to explain it to me based on what he’s done to date.

This roster is leaps and bounds better than last year. Yes, the wins haven’t come but he’s built a decent roster from nothing with healthy cap space and a lot of draft capital.

Sorry, but anyone coming into this year expecting playoff run was incredibly delirious. Nobody, outside of Chicago had that expectation.

I think we’re going to see this roster be even better next year, to start over makes no sense.

I will delete my account and sub to the Packers reddit if Ryan Poles is not the Bears GM for the 2024 season.

Nobody is perfect and Poles has made more smart moves than bad ones. Flus has made more bad ones.Don’t care either way really, but don’t mind Poles

Let Fields play out this season. I believe in him.

Fire Flus has been my mantra since week 2. I never believed in him.

I believed in Poles going into this season. But he can get it too.
