I’ve been looking at this strange ev that charges on solar (up to 40 miles a day) as well as plug in. It will go up to 1000 miles on a charge (supposedly) but is not yet in production. Wonder how this vehicle would do in a Minnesota winter.
I watched a test drive video on YouTube and it looks promising. Im not going to buy one anytime soon but was wondering what are your thoughts and opinions?
I personally love the idea of trying to make an EV as efficient as possible with its ultra-dynamic concept (I’m looking at you GMC Hummer), but given all the details from ZeroWashu’s earlier post, Aptera probably won’t be the one taking off with this idea.
The Aptera reminds me a lot of the DeltaWing, a triangular race car that used half the fuel, weight, and tires to go at basically the same speed as heavier race cars. If a more experienced OEM could forward an EV similar to the Panoz road-going concept or Nissan’s version it may at least sell enough units to prove the same point the DeltaWing did.
