This front office, I don’t know if it was Chris Spielman, Dan Campbell, Brad Holmes, Sheila Hamp, Calvin Johnson, Herman Moore, or Barry himself but they seem to have done everything right in this rebuild. From marketing to culture to ball play. This is different. Barry’s documentary has a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. This is going to be a good Thanksgiving! 🙏🏻
Well regardless of the outcome of the Thanksgiving game, the Lions were set up pretty nice for a lot of well deserved attention which would only help the Bye, Bye, Barry documentary. I guess now it isn’t really as intriguing because we bombed that last game. Resulting in the “SOL” chants. That sucks that we fell to a trap game. We need a get right game next week. I guess Thanksgiving was not going to be as awesome as I thought. Bad read on my part. I hope more than anything that we are proud at the end of the season - that’s all.
I’m afraid to watch it because I know it’ll hurt too much
Although the central question is “Why did Barry leave?”, I think the doc as a whole is more of a celebration of Barry than the tragedy of his retirement. Honestly, it was just fun to see those highlights again.
I don’t have Amazon Prime. But as someone wrote below, “I lived through it.” I’m guessing that all of the juicy bits will be posted in this sub anyway. The biggest revelation has been the part about Joe Montana.
I haven’t but I’ve been traveling too much. Plan on watching tomorrow when I can settle down.
I haven’t seen it or hard knocks
I haven’t I will watch it when I finish my other show series
The Silverdome footage was amazing and gave goose bumps of two of the best games I ever attended (Cowboys playoff and Jets 2000 yard game). I kept rewinding and pausing the tape to see if I could find a younger me in the crowd.
I watched it last night.
Honestly I was torn after watching it.
Part of me felt bad for Barry, and sad that the Lions were so poorly run for a long time.
The other part was a bit annoyed with the “woe is me” bit, especially with all the good vibes around the team right now and Thanksgiving game here.
