Like in the title. Maybe it’s less visible in lower ranks (I do have an acc in emerald level and its still visible although not at that scale, so I assume its the same at even lower ranks), but oh my god, you get the same people over and over again, day in, day out in high elo. What is there? People mental booming the moment 1(ONE) thing goes wrong, even if it’s minute 3. Better yet, even if some plays play out in the team’s favor, it doesn’t stop the mental boomer to stop anyway.

Some time ago, anonymous champ select was added. All it really does is prevent a part of people from dodging games. Unless you use outside tools that show you the names, you cant dodge a possible first time jungle player in an important game, because reasons, but fine. But while we are at it, why not remove nicknames from the game as well? It’s not like you change your playstyle to a better one just because you have someone who rubbed you the wrong way in a previous game. People make int lists and then they int the same player over and over again, sometimes by a whole group of players. If you should always try your best (as in the summoners code or whatever the thing that you click through is called), then names shouldn’t matter at all and you should be playing at your best no matter who is in your team.

If nothing changes about people not getting punished for visible soft inting, and in some scenarios pure inting, calling out a specific player for something that has nothing to do with the game at hand, then what is the purpose of making a ranked mode. And sure, you can say that flex queue is a thing and you can always play with your friends, but not everyone, if the majority has a friend group at a similar level of play, if they even have four friends that also play league, making it less enjoyable in a longer run.

    The only point of ranked ATM is peaking. The matchmaking is too wide for it to be a skill based queue. Maybe next season we see them tighten up queues so games feel closer and small increases in skill are more rewarding.

      Even if the point of ranked is peaking, it’s pretty sad that the experience alone is destroyed by the behavior people exhibit during these games. I get that the game is supposed to bring you fun, but in my case (and definitely in other cases too) I enjoy playing a good game of LoL, where everyone is trying their best, no matter the game state and unless the team actually overthrows the surrender vote, we play on. It should be a top priority to ban inters and people that open just because the team didnt want to surrender.

        Well match making being poor is the reason for that. You are consistently getting bad players that don’t belong in a bracket who have no idea how to play for late game or behind. So in their mind there is no winning even with a better comp.

          I understand that some people struggle with game transitions and whatnot, and I don’t mind it as long as they try their best. What bothers me is the mindset of majority of playerbase just refusing to play the game out without assisting the enemy

    I play ranked for a couple of chests for ranked rewards and those really aren’t worth the headache. Some (many) of these players in my games would feed to beginner bots. I think there should be a forced practice tool session before you queue for ranked or something or you can’t play ranked without certain minimum 3 mastery in champions. It’s very tilting playing ranked my teammates are either asleep, mad, drunk, or just a je ne sais quoi hostilité and for some reason my opponents seem more motivated to press keys on their keyboard and click their mouse and buy items at the shop.
