According to the seller it has less than 80k kilometers, and there are some issues with electronics. Please help me forget about this😅

If it’s cheap enough, you can still save it. Needs to be out of the Seller’s care.

It’s a manual 1978 924 2.0 coupe with 124 HP. The odometer reading is questionable, and the APK (Dutch road certification) is expired, indicating potential issues.

I admire the effort. Someone put in the time and money into this labor of love. I just don’t think I’d have the stones to adopt it. Maybe under circumstances they wouldn’t agree to, like half down for 3 months or 5k miles to get to know it, with a blackout clause. Also an if you break or bend it you buy it clause for them to feel better about it. Also a direct line to the builder/ seller for when/ if it acts up. 3 months to shake it down would be fair to both parties.

I have a period correct tear down/repainted 928 that still gives me electrical fits on the left side of the car to this day. Now that the days are getting shorter, it’s a daytime only car until I isolate this stupid grounding point. These early gen relays are interesting, I feel like the Dad on Christmas Story replacing fuses…
