Lately in ranked matches, there’s an abuse of the Overwatch system that suggests it’s ineffective in the game. This harms other players more than those who genuinely need penalties. Let me provide an example: a Magnus in position 5 played without items, attempting to reach the dagger. Anyone might assume it’s a Herald or even Crusader match, but it’s actually an Ancient-level game with around 4k MMR, where players are expected to have a more advanced skill level. The Magnus was reported in-game for griefing, smurfing, and role abuse. However, while I (playing as Spectre) was trying to recover, it seems I was reported, and I received the penalty. I genuinely don’t understand how the Overwatch system works in the game. Some might argue that perhaps they penalized the Magnus, but supposedly, you always receive a notification when a report is validated. I got the notification for the penalty, but the one for the validated report never arrived. Do you guys really think this Overwatch system is effective?
You have been hit by the bug that is affecting many, many people right now. Over the next week or two expect your Comms score to drop below 6k then freeze in place, with you unable to communicate and unable to increase the score.
The Magnus just spammed 6 reports on you, you see him do it in the replay. This was enough for you to get an overwatch penalty, even though no human assessed the game.
