For Christmas, am asking for a watch. Budget has been moved towards 1000 from 500.

So looking for good watches that’ll last me decades.

As for style, not really sure but something versatile. Generally I tend to like more sophisticated/clean details since in my head watches are generally elegant pieces. Ideally something that looks good on numerous straps/bracelets.- I’ve always preferred the idea of having a bracelet but don’t want to limit myself

Only looking to spend near £1000 if something really interests me compared to options at 500. Otherwise happy to get a piece I like, but not love, and spend a lot less.

Am uk based. And wrist is just over 7in for reference.

Assuming you want an automatic, the Seiko SARX055 remains my favorite under 1K. It’s the “Baby GS Snowflake” which is titanium, has a frosty dial, and is finished very well. If titanium isn’t your thing, you can also see the steel, inky black-dialed SARX035. I’ve owned both and can attest to their quality.
