Raptors as a Predator
Watching waiting patiently to pounce on opportunity.
Which NBA Team do you think will become most desperate and in need of trade to boost its playoff run?
Who will Raptors soon rip off?
Pounce on what? The Raptors have no leverage, lol.
Time will tell, leverage here is always changing relative to the circumstances of other teams.
Quick rundown on circumstances for some of the trade partners:
Warriors - Klay is washed, CP3 is fine off the bench but he’s not the difference maker, this might be the last year to make a serious Finals run with Steph but would require blowing up the “two timeline” entirely (which to be fair to the Dubs, they sucked before this dynasty so i’d be worried too about going all in but their picks are useless right now; maybe when Steph finally shows signs of decline)
Pacers - Poor defense, poor rebounding team that could use size/defensive wing
Thunder - Final year before the team gets expensive and lets them make use of Bertans’ contract…is what i’d say before the recent Giddey allegations came to light; there’s a legit chance this news could throw OKC’s original plans out the window along with Josh (Sidenote: Fuck no we should not touch JG with a 15-foot pole)
Pistons - Panic trade to save Weaver’s seat at the table
Hawks - 0.500 team clearly in need of an upgrade on the wings continues to be 0.500 and clearly in need of an upgrade on the wings
Mavericks - Not worth mentioning since Lively is off the table
Yeah, the trade pieces imo are Pascal And Jak.
We would 100% be 1st in line for OG Anunoby. We are probably not giving you much in the way of players given he is expiring, but we certainly got a lot of draft capital to throw out there for him.
1st in line for O.G. is the Raptors
*out of the 29 teams he isn’t on then, haha.
Do the Bulls have assets and picks
Calling em a predator after this Giddey thing is crazy
We might have another component worthy of trade to secure haul - Dennis
We need our expendable assets to increase in value and efficiency so we must stage accordingly
