I’d be okay with it, but I’m irrationally high on Nembhard.

I do feel like the momentum is swinging towards a Barnes + Anunoby type build in Toronto, Siakam is sounding more like the odd one out.
Bennedict Mathurin didn’t start last season. Our 31st pick Andrew Nembhard did.
I don’t think we do, hence the price we are asking, but he has already declined 1 contract extension by the Pacers.
Why would Nets do it when they’ve got Bridges + Thomas at far more reasonable price?
We keep going for now. You listen to offers, but don’t necessarily make any right now. As we approach the deadline, we and other teams will have a stronger understanding of where we are in the league.
There are a couple of free agents this summer that could be useful, but we need to be patient and maintain our flexibility to have a shot at them.
festar35_PacersBto Indiana Pacers@nba.space•Post Game Thread: That’s a real Pacers L, hell yeah baby 110-114English1·2 years agoGet Haliburton a running mate. They don’t even need to be an All-Star, just a guy we can count on for 18-20ppg consistently and then go get some size.
He will be worth more money than he will be owed, and he will want more long-term money as well. The last year of the deal is like $5mil.
I 100% agree, I actually view Brown as one of our biggest trade chips.
I feel like MJ would’ve just taken those home with him. I mean, they don’t really belong to the Bulls, just MJ.
There is a big gap in terms of talent between Pascal and OG. One is coming off an All-NBA season, and the other is a solid 3/D wing, who could potentially be close to an All-Star at his peak.
I mean, it’s $ 7 million annually.
Stix is the biggest question mark to me.
festar35_PacersBto Indiana Pacers@nba.space•what are we thinking about obi toppin so far?English1·2 years agoI like him as a bench PF. I think if we can find a better fit next to Myles, like a guy who can actually rebound the basketball and then have Toppin get around 20 minutes a game that’d be a perfect role for him.
I don’t know if he will be here next year or not. We have to find Jarace time at some point, and I think the most likely spot we try to upgrade is the PF spot, so we might not leave a lot of room for him. Nembhard, Mathurin, Toppin, + Smith sounds like a solid bench unit to me.
festar35_PacersBto Toronto Raptors@nba.space•Since after the Spurs game, when the Raptors shifted to featuring Pascal more, Scottie Barnes is averaging 16.7 ppgEnglish1·2 years agoOh, right. I like the Raptors players, but I really struggle to understand it from a team perspective. Will just have to watch and see what happens this season.
festar35_PacersBto Indiana Pacers@nba.space•Who is the better defender - Nembhard or Brown?English1·2 years agoIt’s Bruce Brown, but I genuinely believe we essentially “replace” him with Nesmith + Nembhard going forward.

I really like the Siakam + Barnes duo/dynamic you guys have going on.
festar35_PacersBto Indiana Pacers@nba.space•I really like these lineups with Jalen Smith and Isaiah JacksonEnglish1·2 years agoI mean, he has shown, of late, that he can play without fouling. Still like I said you’re only after 10-12mins from him a night.
Still probably my favourite Pacer, although Nesmith + Smith are closing the gap.
festar35_PacersBto Indiana Pacers@nba.space•I really like these lineups with Jalen Smith and Isaiah JacksonEnglish1·2 years agoI totally agree. The effort from them was great. I’d like to see them get more time together. There’s no reason I can’t see us finding 10-12mins for Jackson each night. It’s not a huge amount, but if it’s consistent, it’ll certainly help.
