That is what the Defense gave up in the second half… While I agree out Defense has been shit and AG deserves a lot of heat. This game and I would argue most of the last one fall squarely on this offensive line and Jared Goff. Sprinkled in with a little Dan Campbell. After scoring a TD and getting a stop coming out in the second half, with all momentum on our side, we go for a fake punt and give the Packers a sure fire TD. The game mine as well have ended right then and there. Not too mention going for two (even though they got it) to go down 9 instead of 10.
QB Pressure’s are a problem and it is leading to our secondary look like total dog shit. But we have had the same personnel all year. This coaching staff needs to get its shit together real quick. Because we would be lucky if AG was our only problem. The lord and savior Ben Johnson called a dog shit game. That screen to St. Brown down by the goal line was a total joke of a play. Why was Dan Skipper in motion all fucking game long? Why do they always find it necessary to go run, run pass?
Once again no QB sacks or hardly any pressure from the D with making no changes at ALL throughout the entire game.
And to put the cherry on top, our head coach boned us with that fake punt.
Fact it, this team failed on every level this week and most of last. To point the finger at one guy and say he is the problem is not going to solve anything right now. The question you have to ask yourself is, do you have faith in the same staff that got us to 8-2 after these last 3 weeks?
In terms of points allowed, it’s hard to blame our defense for giving up more than 19 points. 7 points were from the fumble return touchdown and one of the touchdowns came off of the failed fake punt. Since the Packers pretty much started in field goal territory, as I see it 3 of those 7 points are not on the defense.
Generally, I tend to think that with how our team is built, if the defense gives up 20 points or under we should win. I’m pinning the blame for this one on the offense and fake punt decision.
They let the packers score within like 2 minutes to start the game. They set the tone. They were part of the problem too.
Play calling was main issue though
