He paused for a good five seconds before even acknowledging the question.

First, what does this have to do with Jayden Daniels?

Also, the saints do draft a QB every year. We missed on Ian Book and Jake Haener is learning the game. We went after and got Carr. So our front office is taking one every year and addressing our QB position.

I think he is alluding to Daniels being a rusher.

Also wouldn’t say we missed on Book. He was a late rounder. And as such, that doesn’t count as addressing the position IMO. We need to invest real draft capital in the position instead of project edge rushers.

The franchise invested one early first round pick in a quarterback ever. It’s batshit insane to literally never try to build a team in the most traditionally successful way, and to constantly bring in retreads and feel like you can get something out of them no one else did.

Carr ain’t it. He’s Jim Everett 2.0. Winston is Danny Wuerffel with a much better arm and exactly 1,000,000 times less character. If I were the Czar of New Orleans football, I’d give Haener a shot and start scouting prospects this year and next to see who you want to start over with.
