I didn’t realize this wasn’t just Steelers and I was very confused why most people voted 10/15
Ben is the best QB in Steelers History and I’ll almost certainly never see a better QB in black and gold in my lifetime.
And I voted top 15.
I think it hurts him that he was rarely and maybe never a top 2 QB when he was playing. Never an all-pro.
He was on track for being higher than this, but didn’t really have post-season success after the GB Superbowl.
Some of that is on bad luck and injuries to key players (Bell, Brown, Shazier, etc).
And some of that is that he had a pretty bad turnover issue in playoff games. And for whatever reason, lots of those turnovers seemed to go the other way for 6 (like the pick 6 in the GB game that many people forget about because Mendenhall’s fumble came late).
Off field issues don’t help him either.
Top 20 to 25 feels about right. That’s still very impressive going back 60+ years
Should be in the top 10 but his reputation and character off the filed may pull him down in the top 15.
