Wolfire Games CEO David Rosen is leading a class-action lawsuit representing game developers against Valve, which asserts that the near dominance of Steam on the PC games market increases the prices of games due to Valve’s service taking a 30% commission from the sale of each game.
So it is very much related to what Im talking about. The part of the lawsuit Im referring to is the one where the CEO asserts that Valve has dominance over the PC market. Steam doesnt have dominance over the PC market on its own accord, but for the fact that its loyal fanbase refuses to shop elsewhere. There are even other quotes by the same guy who says that because of Steams dominance over the market some devs are afraid NOT to sell their games on Steam. And again, like I said, Steam isnt forcing people to sell their games on their marketplace or not, its their consumers who are blindly bloodthirsty.
