Title says it. But to be more specific, I have a semi-complex plan that I’ll lay out.
I want to connect my headset to my PC for steam/ zoom etc. It’s USB wireless, and in the past I’ve used an A/B switch to swap between PS4 and PC, it took a second or less and was pretty seamless.
Two issues. First, the A/B switch died. So that’s out for now. Second, I can’t send more than one audio source to the headset at a time.
Requirements for a valid solution:
- headset remains wireless
- PC “manages” all audio sources via digital and analog inputs from iphone/ PS4/ mic etc
- PC uses input from the mic, and shares it with an analog output.
- PS4 (and future ps5) receive mic input from the PC via a DAC with USB in/out.
I’m having a hard time discerning which of the myriad DACs on the market will work seamlessly with the PS4.
I’ve see everything from a cable with USB on one side and 3.5mm on the other side, all the way up to mixers which are basically the hardware version of this solution I’m going for. It’s hard to know what’ll work and not be overkill.
