We’ve been watching Geno increasingly force the ball to DK this season, with last night’s 3/9/32 statline possibly the worst of the year so far, including three terrible deep sideline throws and a bad drop from DK.

DK has the best YPC of any receiver on the team, but is it worth the trade off of so many muffed targets? It seems like Geno is increasingly ignoring his progressions and just targeting Metcalf regardless of coverage and who else is open. It seems obvious that DK should not be getting a third of the team’s total targets at this point in the season.

No. DK is an alpha, #1. Frankly, I don’t think he’s getting enough good targets. He has the ability to be a top 10 wide receiver.

You shouldve seen how open DK was on his break inside, but geno is a tunnel vision guy to his main target and stares them down, although we got a nice one hander out of JSN.

DK had 3 balls his way he should have come down with

2 hit him in 2 hands and he dropped them

1 he couldn’t get his feet down despite having room

He couldn’t get in bounds because it was a bad pass. Smith had all the time in the world on that play and he decided to try and throw it over a mountain.

Stat is irrelevant because DK gets far more deep passes which naturally will have lower completion rates than the others. It’s true on the eye test yes but the stats aren’t so cut and dry
