What an anti-climax…Nothing wrong with the charger and both the box and the Steam Deck arrived in mint condition. But it won’t turn on or charge even after hours connected to the charger. I opened a ticket, but what do I do now?

A) Return it, but god damnit I bought it with Steam credits and I’m sure it would just end up as an excessive amount of money I will spend on games I don’t need as you can’t send it back to your bank account. B) Wait for potentially drawn out RMA process C) Open it up and start messing with reconnecting cables with my chubby fingers, potentially messing things up.

I was so looking forward to this weekend… the pain!

drawn out? Valve support is fantastic.

You’ll send that one back and they’ll prob send you a new deck as soon as they receive it.

I hope you are right. Never had to deal with Valve support previously, but generally RMA issues can be a pain.

I know exactly how you feel, I was so overly excited, rushed to pick it up after work and then nothing… Well let’s just hope we get replacements quickly.

Reddit noob issue but I wish I could edit the title to include “resolved” so that others can find the magic trick: Powerbutton + Volume dots + Three dots.

I think it kicks the Steam Deck out of delivery mode.
