First of all it’s kind of funny JDR got fired after the Cowboys game. Predictable loss by the match up on paper.

Anyways. We have 1 game in the next 23 days. Maybe that’s what the ownership saw. A chance to separate JDR from the players for talent evaluation which lots of time off.

Maybe this is part of Ron’s evaluation as well. To see if he was handicap by his DC or just the whole roster he helped pick is bad.

Why do you think the Cowboys was the redline?

I expect Ron gets fire after the Bye. We will probably lose by 65 to the Dolphins and that should be enough.

Ron is still here. Unless you are evaluating Ron what’s the point in firing one without the other?

It was Ron decision. What this tells me is that Harris never had any intention to fire anyone during the season. So we’re stuck with Ron 5 more games.

Yeah it’s more symbolic. The season is over. However at least it shows a little that ownership is paying attention (it was accompanied by a statement from Harris), and it more establishes them to future coaches that they will have some standards.
