Hey everyone,
Inspired by u/markercore and their great threads over in the switch Reddit, I figured I’d try to get some fun game focused conversation going over here! So, what are you playing this weekend? Personally I picked up a ton during the sale for my OLED, and I’m really diving into Dying Light for the first time, which is extremely fun. Also hoping to check out Sonic Frontiers and a few other odds and ends.
How about you all? Pickup anything exciting during the sale? Going onto hour 500 of Vampire Survivors? Lemme know!
I grabbed dredge which seems cool, stubs the zombie, snow runner, and death stranding. I plan to play at least one of those
Dredge rules! I’m 50/50 if I’d enjoy Snowrunner, reviews haven’t quuuiiiiite sold me.
Dredge didn’t really interest me at first but I think I’m going to enjoy it as a darker stardew. Not so much that it’s a farm sim but more of a slower game.
I played mudrunner ages ago and the things I didn’t like about it were the graphics are iffy and the controls were a bit lacking. Since snow runner is supposed to be like a better version of that, I hope I’ll enjoy it as such.
Project zomboid! Finally have started get get a hang of it and got some mods going on.
Plus Dave the diver 10/10
Baldurs gate 3. After giving up on waiting for sale, I finally got it and now I can’t stop playing
How well do the controls work for BG3 on the Deck?
It is a way different experience. You have to relearn how to play when using controller. For example you no longer click the spot, you just move around freely. You also have a little less precision when placing attacks like spells at specific spots but if you have a PS5 controller (I play docked), the TouchPad help a lot with this issue. In general it takes a little longer to do things but it isn’t a game breaker, just takes more time to learn it. The graphics are what shocked me. Coming from a 3070 to the steam deck was like being flung unto a play station 3. But you get used to that as well
Started playing ER again and giving it a second chance. I really enjoyed CrossCode demo so I might start that too since it’s like $8
As in Elden Ring?
Yup. It didn’t really stick with me the first time so I left if after 20-ish hours. I am now playing it more as a open-world exploring game rather than trying to just go for the next boss as in a Dark Souls game and am enjoying it more. Will probably take a gazilion hours to finish it this way tho.
Nice! I checked it out once on release on a deck, preferred the 60fps but I bet with some tinkering I’d love it.
Just got my 512 oled today. I was heavy into Control on my LCD so that was the first game I downloaded.
I also can’t wait to try Diablo 4 and Doom Eternal.
The Ascent is also on the list. RE2 remake. I also bought Ori and the will of the wisps to show off the oled screen. So many great games to play just got a full work day to negotiate first tomorrow……
I picked up Robocop Rouge City,The Quarry,Sifu & Ace Combat 7 But I’m playing Viewtiful Joe 1-2 then the getaway 1-2 first lol.
Going to play through my collection of Final Fantasy games starting from the 1st Final Fantasy 1 Pixel Remaster through to Final Fantasy 13 Lightning Returns.
halfway through Final Fantasy 1 Pixel Remaster now.
