That’s just a really stupid take. Ron is respected around the league for a reason, even if you don’t respect him.

He hired his once likely replacement in EB. He didn’t trade any future draft capital when it could have “saved his job”. He knows his role under new ownership

The idea that he’s like the green goblin clawing on to power is so childish. You guys need to get over your hate.

I know that you’re right and it pisses me off. If he starts trading people the team knows this staff is done and they stop trying

You’re thinking about the wrong job. Ron knows hes toast as coach, hes known this since he brought EB in. The job he might still hold out some hope for, is GM/Player Personnel.

My guess is hes hoping that picking Howell will overshadow whiffing on Forbes, and if he can get a good haul for basically renting out Sweat/Young, he might be able to make a case for GM. Its a long shot, but not as long a shot as staying on as head coach.

The amount of guys clinging to Ron’s nuts around here is pathetic. The dude is a NOT a winner. He is a LOSER as a HC. I hope JH loads the fuck up on picks.

Keep his job, or players could be out of his hands. He’s lost to two bad teams already this year.
